Metal parts for electronics manufacturers

Metal parts for electronics manufacturers — EMI shielding cans, terminals, spring contacts, PCB brackets, keyboard plates, coil springs and enclosures — from one ISO 9001:2015 factory, so mating parts are developed and inspected together. Critical stamped features are held to ±0.02 mm, springs are coiled from 0.2–2.0 mm wire, and orders start at 1,000 pieces.

What requirements are typical for electronics parts?

  • Tight tolerances on a few features: solder-flange coplanarity on shields, contact position on terminals, hole position on brackets.
  • Solderability: nickel silver or tin-plated steel for solder-mounted parts.
  • Contact force: spring contacts and springs are specified by force at deflection and checked with force gauges.
  • Burr control and burr direction on parts that touch cables, boards or fingers.
  • Cosmetic surfaces on visible plates and housings.
  • Material certificates with every lot, and RoHS/REACH declarations confirmed per material and plating.
  • Packaging that protects thin parts from bending; trays or tape and reel confirmed per project.

Why buy several part types from one factory?

Many electronics assemblies combine a stamped shield or bracket, a spring contact, a coil spring and a housing. Buying them from one factory means mating parts are developed and inspected together, ship under one quality system, and you have one supplier to call if something does not fit. Tooling and surface finishing are done by qualified partners that we manage.

How inspection works for electronics parts

Critical features are measured on a vision measuring system with (2.5 + L/200) μm accuracy at first article and on every lot. Production lots are sampled to AQL, and automated optical inspection provides 100% checks on critical features where the part allows. Dimensional reports can ship with each delivery.

Which materials are common in electronics parts?

Grades in current production on our stamping lines. Others are confirmed per project.
MaterialUsed forWhy
C7701 nickel silverShielding cans, contactsSolderable without plating, springy, stays bright
SPCC + platingBrackets, frames, low-cost shieldsCheap and flat; tin or nickel plated for solderability
SGCCInternal brackets, chassis partsZinc-coated, no extra finishing
SUS304Spring contacts, covers, clipsStrong in hard tempers, corrosion resistant
A5052Light plates and coversLow weight, good corrosion resistance

How a typical electronics project runs

  • Drawing review: we check tolerances, material and features that drive die cost.
  • Quote: unit price, tooling and sample terms, confirmed per project.
  • Tooling: our partner toolroom builds the die to our design review.
  • Samples and first article report on the vision measuring system.
  • Production with AQL sampling and 100% checks on critical features.

Where to start

  • Shielding: read EMI shielding cans and the C7701 nickel silver guide.
  • Connectors: read terminals and contacts, and spring clips and contacts.
  • Mechanical parts: read stamped brackets and precision springs.
  • Cost: read our guide to stamping tooling cost and MOQ before deciding between stamping and sheet metal.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply automotive electronics?

No. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, not IATF 16949, and do not supply automotive production parts.

Can you make shielding cans and springs for the same product?

Yes. Stamping and spring coiling run in the same factory, so related parts can be developed and shipped together.

Can you provide RoHS and REACH declarations?

Ask with your RFQ. We confirm what documentation can be supplied for the specific material and plating.

What is the minimum order for electronics parts?

1,000 pieces for stamped parts and springs. Sheet metal housings can be made in prototype quantities.
